The Town of Tilton Recycle Committee will be again sponsoring two important town wide events this month.
On Saturday April 30th from 8am to 2pm we will be holding Tilton Town Wide Yard Sale day. All residents are encouraged to
participate by holding a yard sale at their residence. You must register at the Tilton Town Hall by Monday April 25th and
pay a fee of $5 which goes towards the advertising and cost of printing maps. We encourage you to register early so we can
advertise how many families will be participating. The more yard sales that day the more people from outside town will
come to shop. Maps will be available Friday April 29th at the Town hall and all families participating will be given maps
to hand out to customers stopping at your yard sale. You are encouraged to put up signs so that shoppers can easily find
your location even though it will be printed on the map.
The second event immediately following the yard sale will be a "Free For All" whereas residents, both those participating
in yard sale day and those not, will be allowed to put things they want to get rid of that others may want, out by their
curb from 2pm to 6pm with a FREE sign by them. Anyone can drive around and take what they want. There must be a sign by
the items saying Free. Any items not taken by 6pm must be brought back into the residence and not left by the street.
Town spring cleanup days at the transfer station begin the following Wednesday. If it rains on Saturday then the yard
sale day will be held on Sunday from 8-2pm followed by the Free for All time. We hope to have many families participating!
These two events go towards our goals to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
