- Important Emergency Alert System Changes
Please note that the Town of Tilton will change vendors for our emergency alerts system - Alert Tilton - starting February 1st. The reason for the change is to migrate to a pay-per-use system in order to save money. This change is anticipated to save $2,400 per year and still provide for comprehensive alerts when required.
If you already signed up for emergency alerts, you will not need to take any further action as your data should have been migrated to the new system, as of February 1st, the old system portal for client access will close.
For new additions, changes to existing information or deletions to our database, please fill out and submit this form.
- Important Changes to 2017 Curbside Collection
of Trash and Recycling
Pinard Waste Systems is the Town's new vendor for curbside collection of trash and recycling starting Monday, January 2, 2017.
The East side of Interstate 93 (East Tilton route) curbside collection of trash and recycling that used to be on Tuesdays will now be picked up on Mondays (Thursday's West Tilton route will remain unchanged).
The Selectmen have changed the Trash ordinance that limits household trash to no more than three (3) - 33 gallon bags of trash or the equivalent, placed in containers or cans. Click here for a copy of the ordinance. This ordinance will be strictly enforced.
Please continue to use the same recycling carts. Pinard will also collect overflow recycling materials if you place them in cans, pails, or boxes clearly marked "Recycling." The same rules apply for what is and is not acceptable recycling (see 2017 Recycling Guidelines).
Be looking in your mailbox for more information and a service guide with more details.
