The Town of Tilton 2017 tax rate was set at $23.92 (used for the 2nd tax bill of 2017 and the 1st tax bill of 2018). No unassigned fund balance was used to lower the rate.
There's a tax rate guide available to help citizens learn how the tax rate is calculated.

The Board of Selectmen have adopted a Fireworks Ordinance as of August 3rd, 2017 which defines the regulations, enforcement actions, and penalties associated with violating this ordinance. - Removal of Dog Defecation
Reminder to All Dog Owners - The Town of Tilton has an Ordinance! Clean up after your Dog> on any public property, streets, alleys, sidewalks, parks or any other public grounds or any private property, other than the premises of the owner or person having custody of said dog. Any person violating the ordinance shall be fined $25.00 for the first offense and $50.00 for the second offense, any subsequent offense will be marked must appear and will be determined at court, not including any penalty assessment assigned by the Court. - 2018 Assessing Schedule
The following schedule shows when the assessor will be in Town Hall. - Driveway permits are required for paving work
Please note that a driveway permit is required if you repave your driveway. For more information, please contact the Land Use office at 286-4521 ext 105. - Business Registrations and Occupancy Permits
Zoning Regulation 10.4 requires new businesses coming into town to register their business and to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy prior to opening the business. All existing businesses must also have their business registered with the Town. Please use the attached form for registering your business. - Landlord Affidavit
Per RSA 540:1, the following affidavit is required to be filed with the Town Clerk. There is a fee of $20.00 per affidavit. For more information please see the RSA definitions.
