- 2024 Annual T-N Water District Meeting
Our annual meeting will be held on April 9th starting at 6:00 at the Pines Community Center in Northfield. We have the following District Officer positions available:
Water District Commissioner - 3 year term Water District Commissioner - 1 year term (continuation of prior term) Water District Clerk - 3 year term Treasurer - 3 year term Moderator - 2 year term

The Tilton Board of Selectmen will be conducting a listening session for Calef Hill Road to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday April 4th, 2024 at the Tilton Police Department, 45 Sanborn Road, Tilton. This will be part of the Selectmen's meeting that evening and an opportunity for input to the project. The Selectmen's meeting will start at 4:45 p.m. with the listening session to start at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be broadcast over the internet here. - Town Wide Assessment Time!
In 2024, the Town will be undergoing a Town-wide assessment update. Avitar Associates, the Town's contracted assessor has prepared a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that may help explain the process. REMINDER: It's time to license your dog(s)! All licenses must be paid by April 30. Your dog must have a current rabies vaccination to be licensed. See below for a list of rabies clinics in the area. All dogs licensed by April 30 are automatically entered into the Tilton Top Dogs Raffle!

The Tilton Sewer Commission will be implmenting a rate increase effective with April 2024 billing. Please see attached notice from the Sewer Commission with details on the rate increase. - Transportation Survey
Lakes Region Planning Commission, in partnership with Mid State Regional Coordinating Council and Central New Hampshire Planning Commission, is currently conducting a transportation survey for the Mid State Region. This survey will provide us with a valuable snapshot of our region's current needs. Currently, the survey is planned to be closed at the end of March. Come volunteer as part of an incredible legacy of 30 years of the Hartwell Summer Concert Series founded by the Hartwell Family. The Selectmen received a presentation from Cindy Brockway of Past Designs about the research done thus far on Tilton Island Park and provided feedback to create an historic landscape masterplan. The Selectmen's meeting with the presentation is available on Youtube.
- Downtown Parking Changes - Effective July 1
Public Parking is no longer allowed in the (3) rows of the 10 Western-most parking spaces in Lot "B" shown on the map of lot "B" marked by the "X"
Overnight parking will be allowed in Lot "A" (Old Post Office) and Lot "C" until further notice - Marked Municipal Parking.

The Town of Tilton recently completed a 2022 update of the Town's Hazard Mitigation Plan. - Town Hall Historic Building Assessment
A report was completed in December of 2021 for the Board of Selectmen regarding an assessment of the Town Hall. - The Tilton Island Bridge Is Closed Until Further Notice
The Tilton Island Bridge has been closed due to safety concerns with the structure. The Summer Concert series will be relocated until the bridge is once again available.

Please note that a driveway permit may be required if you construct, expand or resurface a driveway, or if you change the use of a property. For driveways connecting to state roads, permitting information can be obtained from DOT District III (524-6667). For driveways connecting to town roads, visit the Code Enforcement page for driveway guidelines, definitions and the driveway permit form. Zoning Regulation 10.4 requires any new business moving into existing commercial structure shall require a certificate of occupancy. All new businesses coming into town will be required to register with the Land Use Office in the Town of Tilton. Please use the attached form for registering your business. - Landlord Affidavit
